Banorte-Ixe Securities does not maintain the assets in your investment account under direct, physical custody. Rather, custodial and settlement services are provided by Pershing LLC, an entity owned by the Bank of New York.
Banorte-Ixe Securities is member of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC), an organization overseen by the US government with over one billion dollars in net available assets. The SIPC provides coverage in the unlikely event of Broker-Dealer bankruptcy or fraud for up to 500,000 dollars in assets and cash, with a maximum of 100,000 dollars in cash.
For additional security, Pershing also provides coverage in excess of SIPC limits for client accounts through Lloyd’s of London.
Your assets are only covered in the case of fraud or bankruptcy of the Broker-Dealer. They are not covered against market risk. |
