International Financial Advisor 

Job Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for analyzing and managing high net worth portfolios;
  • Providing a highly specialized advisory role to Spanish-speaking clients located in
  • Mexico and Latin America, and English-speaking clients located in the United States,
  • Latin America, and Mexico;
  • Assessing current investment opportunities and determining whether the current options​ ​are suitable for client goals;
  • Developing financial plans in English or Spanish, depending on client’s language​ ​preference, based on client’s current income, expenses, tax status, financial objectives,​ ​risk tolerance, and/or other information needed to develop a financial plan;
  • Performing risk analysis and defining strategies to mitigate them;
  • Keeping track of financial market trends and updating client portfolio accordingly;
  • Remaining abreast of financial legislation and product changes;
  • Researching the source of new financial products and their viability for clients;
  • Handling client complaints and redressing them soonest;
  • Managing client portfolios with different type of asset classes for international clients;
  • Developing strategies for high net worth clients and overseeing the execution of special​ ​projects;
  • Working closely with client representatives, account executives and managers within the​ ​Banorte organization, including affiliates in Mexico;
  • Analyzing client financial information obtained from clients to determine strategies for​ ​meeting clients’ financial objectives;
  • Providing support to investment clients to define international investment strategies;
  • Supervising portfolios worth $197 Million USD and generating an annual average of $1.5​ ​Million USD;
  • Monitoring, rebalancing and supervising investment portfolios;
  • Participating in the model investment strategy committee of Banorte-Ixe Securities;
  • Liaising between Banorte Investment and Wealth management banking with Banorte-Ixe​ ​Securities;
  • Organizing events with clients to deliver quarterly investment strategies of Banorte​-​Securities as well as with international families with investment funds;
  • Contacting, networking and building client base;
  • Keeping track of current clients and keeping them up-to-date with latest developments;
  • Keeping in touch with all clients regularly to enquire about their financial growth;
  • Forming debt liquidation plans in relation to priority timelines; and
  • Explaining documentation to clients.

Education Requirements 

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or Related Field 

Experience Requirements 

Five years of experience analyzing and managing portfolios with different type of asset classes
for international clients; determining asset allocation, investment performance and brokering
trade executions; must have experience in managing relationships with institutional clients
including senior portfolio managers and traders. Must have specific experience with Latin
American and Mexican global products.

Special Requirements  

FINRA Series 7 license; must have the ability to speak and write in Spanish.
